It turns out that Porsche is always ahead of their game, giving you the same amount of power but in a different format. Take a closer look at what Porsche has to offer with their new 690bhp Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid model.

Recent Panamera Update

The Panamera range has been updated recently. The Turbo S E-Hybrid is back to grab the attention of its 4-0 liter non-hybrid Turbo S predecessor and is the top model of the line. PTSEHST and PTSEH (five Internet points for this) are powered by a 4.0 liter twin-turbo V* engine. However, they are complemented by a 134 hp electric motor, which is fitted to an eight-speed PDK transmission. The electric motor is connected to a 17.9kWh battery, which is an updated version of the previous generation’s 14.1kWh. That being said, they have added 31 miles of range in the newer model. Also, the old Turbo S E-Hybrid has only 671bhp.

A step forward for Porsche

If you’re interested in other stats about the new model, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. The 0-62mph sprint takes 3.2 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 196mph. Pair those high speeds with the new WLTP figures of 69g/km CO2 and 94.6 mpg, and these stats look truly stunning and impressive.

Well done, Porsche

A flagship model from Porsche, the new Turbo S E-Hybrid also comes with Panamera chassis and controls as standard. This means there’s rear-wheel steering and ceramic brakes, called Torque Vectoring Plus, and Porsche’s electric roll stabilization is available. However, there is no word yet on how much this thing weighs.

With the introduction of this model, three new wheel designs and two new paint colors were also presented – Cherry Metallic and Truffle Brown Metallic. What about the price you may ask? It starts at a base price of £140,130 ($183,000), with the Sport Turismo version starting at £142,280 ($185,000). Porsche then announced that there would be a new Panamera 4 E-Hybrid to replace the 4S E-hybrid. The newer version will have a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 connected to an electric motor for a total of 456 horsepower, with prices starting at just under £84,000 ($109,000).
